Datatelligent Announces Partnership with Dominican University

Chicagoland Data Analytics Firm Mines Covid-19 Data to Assist in Reopening Strategy for Fall Semester and Beyond

GLEN ELLYN, Ill., July 12, 2020 — Datatelligent (www.dataintelligent.ai) and Dominican University, based in River Forest, Illinois, announced that they have been working together to use Covid-19 case information and other relevant local market data to assist university staff as they create a safe back-to-school plan for students, educators and administrators. Using Datatelligent’s data analytics as a service solution, university staff will have access to the most current, geo-coded Covid-19 information including localized hotspot data and other time-sensitive content overlaid with their student information.

Datatelligent’s platform enables Dominican staff to make data-driven decisions as they assess and evaluate educational options for prospective, incoming and returning students as well as educators and support staff. By understanding the localized impact on their students based on where they live, Dominican is creating specialized programs and communication plans to fit the needs of their students.

“We are thrilled that our solution will provide our partners at Dominican University with timely and essential information to guide their back-to-school strategy,” said Rob Wellen, Chief Growth Officer, Datatelligent. “Data-driven insights are critical components for any industry as we begin to open our doors to in-person activity, but it is essential for universities and colleges as they begin bringing students back to campus.”

Datatelligent’s data analytics solution overlays localized business data with Covid-19 case and student information, including severity/hotspot data. This allows institutions to identify issues and create specific, data-driven plans to address their unique needs; there is no one-size-fits-all recommendation due to the rapid changes in Covid-19 outbreaks and the unique demographics of a particular institution.

Beyond the immediate application of recovery analytics data for Fall 2020 planning purposes, which include Dominican’s response to housing and athletics questions, strategies for commuter versus on-campus students and staff’s work-from-home options, Datatelligent’s platform will help the university navigate issues as they relate to planning for 2021 and beyond. Additionally, Domincan will utilize Datatelligent’s platform to assess and advance other key initiatives for the university, including fundraising and alumni relations.

“The health and wellness of our students, faculty and all Dominican University staff is critical, and we believe access to timely, and highly customized data is essential as we craft our Fall 2020 plans and beyond,” said Jill Albin-Hill, Vice President of Technology and Operations, Dominican University. “Working with Datatelligent will enable our strategic team to craft and adjust our back-to-campus activities with confidence and help us advance our data-informed organizational goals.  Their partnership approach will help us with several other data analytics needs across the university.”
